Keto Sloppy Joes
The Sloppy Joe is a sandwich classic. Now, those following a keto diet can enjoy this delicious version without the usual carb load. Uprising’s Superfood bread brings it all together for a satisfying and tasty meal. Our bread is gluten free bread and has zero added sugar. The loaves are artisan baked and contain just 2 net carbs, making it appropriate for keto and paleo diets. The balance of fiber, healthy fats and protein will make this a filling sandwich that will keep you energized all day.
1 lb. ground beef
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 cup of keto friendly ketchup
1 tablespoon of sugar free tomato paste
1 or 2 tablespoons of water if necessary
4-6 Slices Uprising bread- depending on the sandwich size
1 tbsp olive oil
- Brown the ground beef in the olive oil using a frying pan on medium high heat.
- Add onion and green pepper then saute until soft
- Add ketchup, tomato paste, water and simmer 5 minutes *Optional: Add salt / butter / cheese to taste
- Envelope with two slices of lightly toasted keto bread
